My Name is Lawrence – I am a web designer and developer based in East London. I specialise in front-end interface design and development using a number of skill sets and tools including XHTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and Photoshop. I also work with backend technologies: PHP, SQL/databases and Apache as well as advising on UX, usability, SEO, user-centered design and accessibily. I am an advocate of web standards.

I have experience developing using a range of web platforms, including WordPress, Magento, OSCommerce and MySource Matrix and integrating data into web products using APIs such as Google Maps, Twitter and Facebook.

I hold a MSc in Electronic Publishing (Distinction) from City University London and a first class degree in English and Media and have worked as a developer and designer since 2008. Before making the leap to the digital world I worked in the publishing industry for four years as an Editor of print and online products before returning to university to complete my MSc.

I currently work full-time as a web-developer for a London university as well as managing the online store and doing graphic design work for the fashion label Brat and Suzie. I occasionaly take on freelance design/development/consulting jobs so please get in touch if you have a project you think I could help you with.
